One general question I always get is if it is okay to wear flats to an interview. The answer is yes.
In fact, whatever you wear should not be higher than 3 inches so flats are ideal. The flats must not be open-toed.
Generally, open-toe shoes may make you look unprofessional. You should also only consider neutral or dark colors in your choice for good flats. Bright colors are not great. This is a general rule.
You should only wear neutral colors for an interview. You don’t want to look childish or devoid of any type of fashion knowledge.
That means if you are wearing, say, a black jacket over a white top, you want to wear black or white flats.
